Christmas Letter 2011

Jensen Top 11 for 2011

1. Moving to Littleton, Colorado in May so Aaron could manage the Wells Fargo Branch in Golden, Colorado (of Coors fame).
2. Rachel starts preschool and LOVES it!
3. Wendi enjoys exploring Littleton with the kiddos, visiting museums, parks, bike trails, parks, pools, and more parks. Can you tell we like all the fun parks here?
4. Alex learns how to successfully navigate our two staircases, much to Wendi’s relief.
5. Aaron enjoys seeing MLB (especially the Braves) at the Rockies’ Coors Field. Wendi thinks this may be his favorite thing about the Denver area, although he won’t admit it.
6. Alex takes to solid food like a fish to water, and loves to eat, eat, and eat some more. Amazingly enough, he lost 1 ½ pounds from his 9 month to 12 month doctor’s check-up. The nurse even got a new scale, just to make sure.
7. Rachel misses her old friends in Las Vegas, but has fun meeting new friends at church, playgroups, and at preschool. She invites all she meets to her next birthday party . . . in 10 months.
8. Wendi was recently asked to oversee the children’s group at church, ages 3-11, and Aaron enjoys teaching Sunday School at our new church as well.
9. Rachel discovers the joy of writing and counting and insists on helping write Mommy’s shopping list and every one of her friends’ names. She also enjoys counting down to her birthday, Christmas, and any other birthday or event coming up in the family.
10. Alex wins over strangers all over town with his cute, toothy grin.
11. Most of all, we are thankful to have been blessed by the Lord as we’ve had His help making such significant changes in our lives this year.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our family and friends. We love you!

Christmas Fun!

Alex did not like the man in the red suit.
Fun in the snow!
No tears this year--go Rachel!
Waiting for Santa to come down Littleton Main Street. About ten minutes before he came, Rachel and Alex both decided they were done, and we left. The crossing guard couldn't understand why we were leaving early. I told him, "When the kids don't care anymore, neither do I."

Alex's 1st Birthday!

Alex's new birthday outfit.
Cake, anyone?
Whoo-hoo! Wrapping paper! Who cares what's inside!
My smiley little boy.
